NAME BADGES

Please bring your name badge.  You must wear it throughout all the conference sessions.  We will have temporary ones available if you forget yours or don’t have one.

 

TRAVELLING TO THE VENUE

By Road – The Leeds Parkway Hotel is on the A660 about 2 miles north of this road’s junction with the Leeds Ring Road (A6120) at the Weetwood Hall roundabout.  The address is Otley Road, Leeds LS16 8AG. There is plenty of parking space at the hotel.

 

By Rail – Leeds railway station is the most convenient.  There is a taxi rank outside the station or you can walk half a mile up to the Headrow and catch the X84 (limited stop service to Otley, Ilkley and Skipton) at stop no. H10, opposite Primark.  Note that the bus stops are not consecutively numbered along the street.  Taxi takes about 15 minutes and the fare is around £12.  The bus takes 24 mins and the single fare is £2.60. They run every 20 minutes during the day.

 

By Air – The hotel is about 10 mins drive from Leeds/Bradford airport via the A658 (follow signs to Harrogate) and the A660 (follow signs to Leeds).

REGISTRATION

Please register at the desk situated in the foyer, near the main entrance to the hotel, between 11am and 1pm. You will be able to check in to your rooms from 2pm.  There will be secure storage for your bags if needed.

 

You still need to register even if you will be arriving after this time or on a different day.  In this case, please try and give us an approximate time of arrival and we will look out for you in the foyer.

 

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

On the first day – Tuesday, 9 September - lunch is available from 12 noon and the conference opens at 1pm.  The conference closes at 12.45pm on Thursday, 11 September.  Site visits will take place on Thursday afternoon.

 

FOR THOSE STAYING ON MONDAY NIGHT

If you have requested dinner at the hotel on Monday, we have made sure the hotel is aware.  Otherwise, you will need to make your own arrangements, either at the hotel or elsewhere.

 

FOR THOSE STAYING ON THURSDAY NIGHT

You will need to make your own arrangements for dinner, either at the hotel or elsewhere.

 

OTHER INFORMATION

The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, gym, steam room and spa pool and these are available for anyone to use between 6.30am and 9.30pm.

 

The hotel has two bars.  The Club Bar in the Foyer will open at 6.30pm and will be open til late.  There is also a bar on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, on the balcony above the ballroom which will close at 11.30pm.
